籌辦大寂靜精舍緣起
大寂法師（俗家姓名：郭濟源）自幼學佛，生長於佛教家庭，1994年開始正式專業地研究佛法，1998年拜上水下月老和尚為師，剃度出家，一直於華梵大學專研佛法、禪修至今，2011年12月完成佛學博士學位。期間受邀於台灣、大陸、香港、新加坡、馬來西亞，四處弘揚天台法教。2010年與學員合力創立台灣「社團法人中華大寂靜學會」 (Much-Calm Association)，曾於台北租一公寓弘揚佛法、傳授觀呼吸禪修法門至今。
先前因每月租金負擔沈重，地方小亦不敷運用，覺得租賃不是長久之計。如今已經為了弘法場地的問題，搬遷了若干次，目前的場地則是暫時借用的。深思熟慮後，擬於地價較便宜、交通也方便之處，購買一永久性精舍，提供眾生聽聞正法、深入經藏、專門傳授禪修的實修實證佛教道場。
現在正式向社會各界人士籌募善款，希望大家踴躍捐輸，共結十方緣，成十方事。南無阿彌陀佛！
FUNDRAISING FOR MUCH-CALM MONASTERY
Ven. Da-Ji, whose born name is Chi Yuan Kuo, learned Buddhism from childhood. His family members are all Buddhists. In 1994, he began to study formal and professional Buddhist theory. In 1998, he became a monk and the old monk Ven. Water Moon is his master. Then he went to Huafan University to research Buddhism and practice meditation up to now. On December 2012, he got Buddhism PH.D. During these days above, he was invited to deliver speech about Tian-Tai Buddhism in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. In 2010, Ven. Da-Ji, helped by disciples, set up Much-Calm Association in Taiwan. At the same time, he rented an apartment in order to teach Dharma and give meditation way of anapana up to now.
Because of the rental every month is too high to pay, the space is too small to use, Ven. Da-Ji thinks that renting an apartment is not a good idea for a long time. The associtation has moved several times up to now and the delivering place is used temporarily. After careful consideration, now Ven. Da-Ji is planning to purchase an ever-temple called “Much-calm Monastery,” where the land price is cheap and the traffic is convenient, in order to provide Dharma talk, research Dharma deeply, practice and prove Buddha's Dharma.
